Hi All, My name is Mark, Or red-dog, C.B handles die hard. I had the notion to try detecting many years ago but never got around to it. I have a white's detector, A simple prizm 3. I am currently wading through the plethora of newly discovered legalities associated with the hobby, And i'm surprised to read that the Archaeological lobby seem to be dead set against our chosen interest. I live in Rotherham, But my work takes me to Wales every year for up to 3 months at a time. When in Wales, I stay in Barry and Newport. I like Barry and intend to do some detecting on the beach when next i'm there. It is my hope to find somewhere local to my home to follow my interest and use my machine in peace but i suspect it may be easier said than done. So Good Luck everyone, And Happy Digging!!

Welcome Mark and enjoy the site. Good bunch of people on here and a couple of good clubs in the area like Rare and Scan so may be worth checking them out and as a member you will see that we hold DW rallies every so often and as a member of the site you would be eligible to participate if you are in the right place at the right time so enjoy the site and make sure you participate.
