Hello all from the old west

I am a Newbe here on this forum and just want to say hello and introduce myself. My name is John and go by the Forum name of Buddysox, Which is my dog's name . As you can probably see on the heading he is a Pembroke Corgi. Both of us reside in Phoenix, Arizona in the U.S. My family originated in Cardiff way back when ( mid 1700's I believe) so we both thought we would sign up and see what was going on "back home". When I take the Corgi detecting he always sticks his nose in the hole and digs furiously. Now I am trying to teach him to sniff out silver. If that succeeds I will have it made.
I love to see the old and varied finds the members post here. We are a much newer area and consider ourselves quite lucky finding anything over a hundred years old. Dry and rocky here. Am looking for ward to hearing about your finds and techniques there.
