A Dingdong day

With all the wind and rain and winter bugs seemingly out of the way, it was great to meet up with Dingdong yesterday having been invited to one of his permissions. Without giving to much away, what a fantastic location and absolutely loved the early medieval church. The sun was shining, the land had dried out quite nicely and it felt like heaven after the weather we have been having. Anyway, I think we had a  good 4 or so hours detecting and spent the last 1/2 hour sitting on a bank soaking up the sun and having a good natter. Loved every minute of it and as an added bonus, I got a few finds as well.
Amongst the unknowns are a few buttons, a mount of some sort attached to a fragment of leather, another mount which we thought could be a dagger Pommel, a medieval pot leg and a finger ring. Not sure of age of ring but it seems to be copper alloy and was found close to church boundary wall so could be medieval I suppose.
