Anyone Help? I Have taken it too two local garages but there diganostics guns wont pick up the fault on my car? Been told the gun needs to be snap on or tech 2. Anyone on here a mechanic? or know a good local garage with one of these? It's a vauxhall corsa 57 plate, Vauxhall want £84 just to plug it in

Hope you have better luck than me Matt.
I've got a Fiat and had a fault that couldn't be I.D'd by my local Garage. He gave up in the end but didn't charge me, said I'd need the cash when I took it to a Main dealer.
Trouble is, only the Main dealers have some of the programs needed. Went all the way to Cardigan and left it with them. 10 mins after getting back they phoned and said they'd pinned it down to the ignition lock in the steering column and it cost £320.

I had mine done on my VW Polo last year. It cost me £30 for the diagnostics in order to find the fault. I think it cost about £145 to get fixed. It had been on for quite some time. I had to get it done prior to my MOT because I knew last year it was being classed as a MOT fail.
