Well, Techony and i managed to sneak out for a an afternoons detecting on what we anticipated would be a quiet field. We were not disappointed, it was a quiet field!  Grin Grin

However my only find of the afternoon besides bullets was this little object .... I think i have an idea as to what it is, but do welcome your opinions.  

In the meantime, i'm sure Techony will add his piccies later.

It's a Nuremberg jeton, with the alphabet on the reverse. Something like this, but yours appears to be dated 1553 at the bottom:

Cool, thanks guys. I can't believe that I couldn't see the Alphabet! I've been staring at it for ages trying to make out the inscription.

What an interesting little find then. It's gone from Dog tag to Jetton to Trade token and back in a little under half a day  Grin
