I managed to detect a new farm today, which the farmer said has never been detected before, which makes a pleasant change! The first 3 hours on pasture was rubbish, then in the last 2 hours I moved onto seeded, and the first signal was a lovely Roman nail cleaner lying on the surface, followed by a few more interesting bits and bobs.  So I hope to get a few more hours in next week before the crop comes up, as I think it might produce a few nice Roman brooches.

It was nice to get a mixed bag of finds today’s, shows the site has been used for a  long period of time, but your right Roman doesn’t raise the pulse rate anymore, unless it’s something very special.

It must be a rich area, as the farm in the background belongs to the second richest person in England worth 1 .85 bn think he may have a few J.C.B'S in his garage Grin
