I found a gold stater and had five free copies made as part of the deal to include the coin in a catalogue. Somebody bought one of the reproductions for £2.50 and went on to sell it for hundreds of pounds. I've written about it before, but it will resurrected in a new blog post soon.
Hi John,
what metal was the copies made from?

Don't really know - silvery with a gold wash, The only difference is a slight colour change and the weight. Otherwise perfect.
