hi rjm

i have a Deus coming. wey hey!!

a lot is talked about the gmp programme within it and how it sounds and performs?
with the other programmes gmaxx etc, that i assume behave like the other models in the XP series? are there subtle differences in audio and behaviour from each other, compaired to say the gmp? or is it just a change in frequency and discrimination, settings etc? Huh

i've just never heard the audio of the other models? people only seem to talk about and film the GMP in action? Is the Deus as 'chatty' as the GMP? Because that suits me!

cheers Scott  Wink

Scott - he's on holiday at the moment.  He's actually done a field report on the Deus - you'll find it on this site somewhere.  Can't remember if he's away for a week of two weeks but if you bump your message up a bit later I'm sure he'll answer you.

XP Deus

Sorry for the delay. I've been to Mauritius again..................with the Deus of course!

Well done on your purchase.

The simple answer to your question is the Deus is any machine you want it to be. It can be 'spitty'
if you run it too sensitive or it can be quiet if that's how you prefer.

The G Maxx program on the Deus differs from the actual G Maxx machine in that the G Maxx machine uses
4.6khz to search whereas the Deus uses 8khz.

Use the G Maxx when not specifically searching for hammered coins (although it will get them as I have found.
I had one in boggy ground with iron near it!)

I'd start with Basic 1 (12khz) or Basic 2 (8khz) programs and then have a look at the GMP (18khz)

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Deus. It's fairly simple and you will like it even more when you get to understand it.

Any problems just contact me.
