Mrs Badger - Mike is doing his best and I wish you both all the luck in the world.  I do hope that he comes home with more goodies for you both and that you both see better times in the future. 

I like seeing gold come up too,  it's a great feeling as it's as good as the day it was lost well usually anyway.   

I suppose after so many years in this hobby that I've become complacent and love to hear of the younger enthusiasts success.

What about you?  What about getting a detector and joining us all.  Huh

Well, I take my hat off to him, Mrs Mike.
I took dogs to beach this morning to see what it's like. It's a good job I'm not a brass monkey. Anyone who spends as much time swinging as Mike does deserves to find the goodies.

Anyone who's inerested,  the sands have moved.

just got in after my 3rd trip to the beach.not so lucky this time with the gold rings but got some silver and there were 8 of us detecting so hey ho.this time out got a viccy half penny 1888,george 5th sixpence 1933,george 5th 3 pence 1932,14p,a st christopher pendant and a ring that i think is brass and not sure if its a earing.nevermind.back out tonight weehee for the fourth tide in a row so off to bed now lol Smiley

Your a confirmed beach detectorist, wild and free- a trip to the beach is like being on holiday. Grin
 I wish I had half your energy  Wink but be careful when your out alone especially in the dark because there will be no one around to help you if anything happens- I almost knocked myself out once with my own  shovel Shocked  - the beach doesn't take prisoners - keep your phone  very handy- I think you should change your name to dancing with dolphins  Grin

I went down to the beach today, if you lasted more than an hour or so your a better man than me. When your hands turn blue its a sign to go home I think.

i dont know about being a better man than you but i am determined to use the conditions to my advantage.lasted 3 hrs today and i was so tired that i forgot my gloves this morning lol just had to grin and bear it. i must have been to beaches about 30 times before started understanding how the sands shift and whats the best time to go detecting.learning a bit more everytime i go out.one day i might know what i'm doing lol.getting better though Smiley

Wowee beat me to them then.   ;DWell done.  I havent been out lately but an venturing out tomorrow and sunday dont care what the weather is like. Hope to find something, if not I'll pack it in! Undecided
