ok guys i need your help.
my grandfathers name was Trevor Brazel (b.1901/02) . he had 3 brothers (emlyn sydney and thomas, or tommy) and a sister Bronwen. (swansea area)
Their parents, my great grand parents, names were:-
Jeremiah and Kessiah (think spelling is right) Brazel
i believe Jeremiah was born in 1880/81. 1901 census shows him to be an annealer in a tin plate works swansea, anyway i'm led to believe he then served in WW1 in the Welsh Reg. and may have won a medal?
well as you can see there are some pretty unusual names there so any advice, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated as i can get no further.
cheers

Kev,

if the info given is correct, I have found the marriage of your GGGrandparents...

Thomas  BRAZELL (note spelling)     married
Ann        DAVIS or JENKINS
Swansea   1860

Volume  11a    Page   777   (with the above info, this will enable you to obtain their marriage certificate). Any problems, give me a shout)

Rob,

Find the oldest member of your dad's side of the family and get all the information you can. Relatives, dates, births, marriages, anything you can find. Write it all down....

Get back to the forum.

Try Free BMD, it's not yet complete but pretty good from 1837 (date of compulsory event registration) through to 1930 ish. As it says by its' name, it's free   Smiley

Nick that site worked a treat, wnt back to my GGGG Grandfather born turn of the 1800's from Wiltshire, His name was Levi. Having a little difficulty with my great grandfather , I know he moved from Wiltshire between 1871 and 1891, he was 1 in 1871 so i guess closer to 1891, He got married in The rhondda I believe in March 1894, but when i find the marriage record and view it  ,it only shows his name. Shame the census doesnt cover Glamorgan yet.... All in all I'm chuffed. So from me we have

Rob-1971
Fred 1936
Albert 1903
Albert 1870
Charles 1834
Levi 1801

I got coins older than Levi Tongue
