Anyone know if this has any affects on detecting depth etc what with the soil being less dense? Huh

Hi Dusty, not sure but i find with my garrett on a frozen soil or very frosty i get a good signal maybe due to the conductivity but i may be wrong . Napoleon.

Me and neil had this problem a year ago it played hell with the machines.Today though the surface was frozen but it didnt seem to affect the depth. It may depend on the amount of air in the soil so different soil types would have more or less air pockets in it , allowing water and in turn ice to gather , freeze and expand in these pockets.
