hi guys ive been told by most people on minelab owners.com that the 7.5 DD coil is the prefered choice of x terra users anybody use this coil? and does anybody have one foil sale or know where i can buy one. any info would be much appreciated.

That is a difficult question to answer and is dependant on what your looking for, the 7.5KHz DD is certainly the deeper all around coil, but it does tend to overbalance the machine and make it feel heavier. The coil that many choose is the 18.75KHz elliptical coil which gives the machine the same balance as the 9" concentric but is fantastic at finding hammered silver. I would ultimately plan to get a few coils if staying with the Xterra as it is a fantastic machine and each frequency is good in it's own way.
