http://www.freepressseries.co.uk/news/4219009.Treasure_unearthed_near_Usk/
A FRAGMENT of a late Bronze Age axe discovered near Usk, thought to be around 3,000 years old, was donated to Monmouthshire Council's museum service.

The piece of a socketed axe head, around 20 per cent of the original, which dated between 1,150 and 750 BC, was found in Llanhennock by Arthur Reynolds on July 15 last year.

It was found a few metres from a previously-reported hoard consisting of an axe blade and fragments of a casting jet. The artefacts have all been declared treasure but both Mr Reynolds and the landowner waived any claim to a reward.
