Well my first outing of 2011 didn't result in any hammered coins but it was a fun 4 hours. The highlights were a Sestertius, a small Roman bronze, and a cartwheel penny.
A lot of digging, but my best coin tally for some time. Happy New Year everyone.

nice one Geoff, i just had an hour out up the road late afternoon, found a couple of quid, had to pack in at 5 as it was too dark to see the dirty coins by then doh,

a guy in the states just sent me a pic of a lovely designer 18 carrat gold braclet with 4 saphires that he found today,
