Good idea Paul - I am sure we can work on something suitable in the memory of Phil for a future DW Rally. Let me have a chat with Admin and Rob and see what we can come up with.

Its been an awful loss of a real gent and a friend to many people.

Kind Regards

I also like the idea, especially Verminator's of passing around a donations tin and naming the rally after Phil.  It might also be better for some folks who might not be able to contribute as much as others.

Really nice idea guys. Phil was a real gent and I'm sure we can do something in his honour.

A fine idea for a deserving cause. This good man was taken far to early and I still can not believe it. Phil will not be forgotten.

what if we have a rally and instead of paying for the rally £6 and have a whip around on top. We then put all the money towards a Charity named by Phil's family.

Thanks for the suggestion Hammymag.  I think though that we will let the other Welsh Clubs that Phil was a member of do as they wish. This way hopefully there can be two events that members of both can attend and hence raise a bit more.

As we have done in the past when unfortunately a member passes on, we will be remembering Phil passing, but it takes a while to arrange. More details to follow.

Kind Regards

I'll let Neil deal with the last post !  Shocked   (now deleted by Admin!)

Another suggestion is to hold an Annual Rally in Phil's name with a donation tin passed about and proceeds going to
a good cause.

I have to agree with you Neil, by letting the clubs do their own thing, it will be a personal memorial to Phil from that club.
What can be done is maybe give the monies to the same charity as requested by Phil's family Huh

Personally, I think it may be better to buy a personalised gift or momento to give to the family
such as an inscribed vase or whatever.

Giving money can be a bit vulgar sometimes, but a gift + flowers says a lot more.

But, I'll go with the flow.....
