Yesterday my mate called over to see me after our days detecting to show me what he had found. He found a medievil buckle and a few bits and pieces nothing special. Before I start the story I am talking about Stephen who is a member of our great forum. Well, anyway, here is the story. He was walking along talking to himself, as you do, then he had a lovely signal. He dug down and turned the clodge over, tested both the hole and the clodge and the signal had moved back a little bit, He dug down again and the same happened again so he dug down again. This went on for about ten minutes until he realised He was detecting his own steel toe caps in his wellies. What a laugh, we were hysterical. Moral of the story, don't wear steel toe caps in your wellies when you go detecting boys or you'll have a lot of false signals, just like my mate Stephen. :-)

I was checking out a clodge the othe day , breaking off bits and waving it over the coil, my fav way of doing it. Only thing is every handful had a signal. Soon I had to start all over again when I realised it was the popper on my coat cuff!................ Undecided

I bet we have all detected our Boot loopholes watches or something stupid at some time or another. First time (and not the last ) I did it, I laughed so much a walker passing by asked if I was all right.
