The new 13x11" DD coil for the Deus will be out shortly.

It will sell for £349 including lower stem, coil cover, nut/bolt, and VAT at 20%.

Further details on the Regton XP site if needed.

It looks good Bob and at last a truer comparison can be done with the competition. Unfortunately "shortly" when expressed by Nigel from Regtons can mean anything. I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Well, they've released the price in France and here, so it's fairly imminent. My guess is mid January 2011.

There's a shortlist so it depends how many each dealer gets from XP.

If it proves itself I wonder if XP will be gallant enough to offer it as a standard option instead of the smaller coil.

I have always been loyal to minelab and my elite and se pro. But but, a number of friends who have bought the Deus, and reading posts on performance, does make it a very tempting  alternative to the explorers.

You may be right, Jeb, but it won't be anything near as heavy as a Monsterlab with 15x12 or 18" coil  Huh

We'll just have to see what it's like when in use. I think it's fairly light as large coils go.

I can't wait to see how it performs against the standard coil.
