thank you allan,i think my favourite out of that lot is the 4th centuary valens siliqua not beacuse they aint common finds but beacuse of the botched legend on the reverse lol.

Well done with the find displays (and finds Cheesy

) Neil, Paulywow and Cheff, an eclectic mix (as detecting finds tend to be). These are some highlights from my year (apologies for the poor picture quality). My favourite has to be the Mary groat found deeeep on pasture with my ole mucka Neil: I was well stoked to find it.

A nice selection there Mr Moosekuckle - I can remember that Mary Groat coming out like it was yesterday - you were as pleased as Punch (if only you were as good looking as Punch!) Wink

You did well on the George III sixpences mate - loads of them.

Well done Paul as well - nice selection of Romans - nice to see Republican amongst them.

Also congrats to Val on the beach finds - you could open a fishing shop! Keep plugging away at the beaches and the goldies will appear.

Any more DW members year "snapshots" of finds out there?

here are some of my detectings finds from 2010..what a great year we have all had..the gold roman is a fake i thought id get that in before someone says aaaarrrrrr come on ray you bought that for a £1.lol.
