Hi Rare Members

The clubs holding a beach token hunt on the 2nd of January
Starts 10.00, finish and raffle drawn around 1.00
Email or Pm for location

all the best
Phil Jones

Last years Beach hunt report.......

The Rhondda Artefacts and Research Enthusiasts Annual Beach token Hunt was held today at Barry Island South Wales.
The rally, despite the threat of bad weather was attended by about 20 members, the poor weather forecast and there being 2 other rallys on the same day was to blame for the low turn out.
Raffle prizes where kindly donated by the members themselves as it was decided that the £100 the Club normally spends should go towards our Annual Summer token Hunt.

A big thank you to Iggle for providing the 5 gold coins which only 3 (to my knowledge) were found) and for mark for seeding the beach with 50 coloured old Penny's

After Mark and Paul laid the tokens we were off !
Hoovering up most of the tokens in the 1st 2 hours members steadily filtered off to look for some natural finds.
The day ended at 1.00 when the tokens were exchanged for raffle tickets.
I dint think anyone went away empty handed I won a Spade and an illuminated magnifying glass and nearly £2.00 of cash from the beach.
I think the Robert and his miss,s had the most luck  (sorry i dont know her name)  they went away with 3 bottles of wine and a Pinpointer kindly donated By Debbie Jones.
Also id like to thank Debbie for providing the Cakes my belly salutes you !

Over all a great day was had by all
Personally Id like a bi annual Beach token hunt   !

all the best
One happy Beachcomber
