Has anyone got any idea if this 'Lead Thing' might have had any particular use?
Found in a field, made of lead (I think) squared with a concave end. It looks as if the other end is broken off.

He val ......i have had a few funny miss shape peaces leads in my time tectecting and I also have had a peice like urs I was talking to me granddad and he said when theey were work mines and more with stone the used to blast it out with lead

That could make a lot of sense. The field I was in were heavily mined from mid 1700's. Thanks for that.
