Nice to see some monochrome, cant beat it. Here's one of Lunar Henge, taken last year. This particular image of mine is English Heritage best seller for 2010. If you want to see more have a look at my site www.cerijonesphotography.co.uk

What's real? It's just replacing darkroom skills for Digital? Sold all my darkroom stuff on ebay last year, havent looked back!

Don't worry Ceri I'm only jealous as digital manipulation is something I am only just getting to grips with, but it does seem easier than the old skills. When I did my studio assistantship it was with a photographer called Sam Haskins who was a master in the darkroom and I just don't think that many of the digital experts that are out there now could even get close to perfecting something like Ansel Adams' zonal system. The skills have changed but I just feel that like many things they have got easier, which is never good news for the professional photographer.

Geoff, your Bang on! One good thing is that students studying photography in college now have to go through the darkroom process. They call it 'old school' frightening really as I feel it was only yesterday I was working under a safelight. I'm glad I experienced this process, and the so called fibre based digital paper nowadays is nothing like a hand printed black and white paper. All said, digital is a lot easier, healthier, cleaner and quicker. All the more time for me to dig some holes!
PS. Did you see the Tor pic? I was back down there last week to do some more images. Working on them now. Special place that!
