Hi all, found these around three years ago and they've baffled everyoune including UKDFD and the museum of Wales. The museum thought that the pin object was possibly roman, but when they did metallurgy tests it had too much zinc in it for it to be any older than medieval. Here is the link on UKDFD http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/showrecords.php?product=7194&cat=500
Any Ideas guys and girls?

Top one looks like a rail holder to me too.

Bottom one looks like a highly decorated lock pin. Is it big enough to be off a wheel? As for the decoration; ring and dot would've hinted at saxon, but the zinc blows that away I guess.

The top one looks like a portable inkwell. If its made of lead, it is probably made to stay upright on uneven surfaces and not get moved by wind or table top movement.

The pin thing looks like a treen article, something made of local material and given to a lover or family member. It looks crude enough to be medieval. Love spoons are another example.

ok the top one looks like a smoking pipe it looks chard a bit and it has the grooves on the end to stop it falling out of your mouth i think is was invented to aid giving up smoking the effects of lead poisoning greatly exceeded the tobacco so in the eyes of the Romans it was a winner.

And the lower picture is defiantly a totem pole for elves  or it could be a tent peg / large tooth pick or a peg for tying a noose to for catching rabbits yes that's it for catching rabbits (i saw it once on time team one of the early ones) honest
Hope this helps
