anybody got any idea about wire framed dolls . i found a what i thought was a scrap of material with copper wire in it was just away to chuck it in the bin when i noticed that it seemed to have feet and upon inspection it had arms a skirt long bloomers but no head . it was about 9 inches down on part of the field that has not been ploughed in living memory . (child buried it ,will never know)  will post once ive washed it

There were BENDY dolls around when I was little but they were foam/rubber covered.

Reminds me of some 'dolls' I saw on a program about the miniature coffins that were found in Scotland. They had similar hand made figures inside.
On the other hand it could simply be a little girls doll made lovingly by Dad who couldn't afford to buy one. She was probably very sweet with her head on.

Might sound silly but it might be worth asking at your local museum about Voodoo Doll. She could be of some interest.
