I read elsewhere that John Lennon would have been 70 pretty soon.

It got be thinking, I wonder what the man would have been like today. Would he still be writing music and fighting political causes or would he have faded into obscurity? Would the Beatles have reformed?  How would he have approached the years of unrest in the 80's - Thatcherism, Aids, Eithipoia, the fall of communism, the get rich fast society, War in Iraq, Afghanistan, - the list goes on  . . .

What does stand out though is the quality of his music, and how ahead of his time he was - listen to this off the Revolver album and tell me its not the first steps in Drum and Base, Trance, Aphex twins, Moby, Chemical Brother, FSL, etc - his influence has been never ending

Food for thought on a Friday night!
