thanks to everyone who organized such a great day out. blessed with the weather, put some faces to usernames, saw some lovely finds and left having made some new friends. I can honestly say it had the best atmosphere of any rally i have ever been to. i saw no holes left and no trash laying on the surface. the organizers of this rally and this web site should feel very proud of what they have started.
long may it reign. Smiley

I really enjoyed today , great to do a days detecting with friends, and make new friends in the process. I got to say, the way everyone interacted with each other and treated the land was great. I think we can all be proud of ourselves. We've all done this forum , and in turn this hobby a great service. I'm new to this hobby, and learning as I go, what I have learnt today is that groups of people from different clubs, can and do get along. Well done everyone!

A big thanks to you all. Organisers for a great site. All the people i met that put faces to names and what a great bunch of people you are. Found some nice coins which i will clean and post later. Vicky shilling,George sixpence among the better ones and what a pleasure to see the Mary Groat and the Gold Ring. Would like to have seen the Charles forgery in the flesh. Anyway thanks for a great day and i cannot wait for the next one. Even the weather shined on us.  Smiley Smiley Smiley.    Wanted to meet CASA - DOS but somehow our paths did not cross. How did i miss him cos you cant miss me (six foot tall, six foot wide ). Tee Hee  Grin

Had a good day, best of my finds were a livery button, spindle whorl and half of what would have been a nice tudor buckle. Was nice to meet some of you, thanks to all who organised the day, looking forward to the next!
