Popped out for a couple of hours just to test some new headphones and see if the lost ring would finaly make an appearance, but it wasn't to be.
I did however find a Bronze Antoninianus in nice condition, I think it depicts Gallienus but not to sure until it has had some TLC.
That takes the total on Roman coins dangerously close to the magic 7 and a hoard number and just to give me more to think and fantasies about. The obverse of the coin as you can see has a central patch of ver de gris, as most of you will know this is generally caused by an electro chemical reaction and is often present when 2 coins are stuck together..........................



I think when the coin went into the ground it hadn't seen much use as the hair is still quite visible.

Another nice find Geoff. I'm aiting for them to stop charging £3 parking before I go and start searching for that diamond ring again. Praps my luck will change then.

bloody elusive ring aint it,,,mind you been there a few times myself,,the people that lost em usually find em under the bed or someone else finds em 10 years down the line  Huh Huh Huh
