Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend good headphones? i.e. ones that are comfortable to wear, do a decent job and don't cost a small fortune!

Also what is the importance of good headphones? Do great ones really make a difference?

Finally any recommendations where to shop online? i.e. anyone with particular good service, good prices etc? obviously it pays to shop around, and I have looked at quite a few online specialists as well as the old ebay - but just wondered where other people tend to shop?

thanks all,
Jonathan

Jonathan, check this old thread out. Hopefully it may explain a few things.

Thanks Geoff - good points made.

I am, using a Garrett 250 at the moment, so not sure what would be suitable (but anything got to be better than the ones supplied with the 'tector!).

I will look at the Chef ones on the site you mentioned and way up cost amongst otherthings (as I am also needing a new mini shovel and wanting a Garrett pro pinpointer) so many new toys to buy!  Smiley

I would love to recommend the Chef phones -- bought a set for Mrs h and she has proceeded to outdo me with finds.

Am now seriously thinking of nicking her Chefphones.

Oh and as for lifetime guarantee ... its good. Mrs h had a slight problem with the lead at Ludlow and it was changed without any hassle whatsoever.

You'll soon be cooking with Chefphones!

My advice depends on how long you are going to keep the Ace 250, If it's for the ace then I would recommend getting the CP2 and if you were ever to upgrade your machine to a Fisher, T2, Whites or Xtera then you are still going to be OK, But if you are thinking that one day you will choose an Explorer, Etrac, Sovereign or XP then go for the CP1.
