Great finds, well done All the organisers Wink and finders of the staters and hammered and all the varied finds Shocked

Marvellous sociable event and a good advert for detecting
Beautiful location and great company. Enjoyed the trip up and day out.

Although a shortage of coppers, did find 2 milled silver - a Vicky shilling and George 6d love token, a snuff box, musket ball, button and a crushed copper thimble the FLO dated 1620-1720

The previous evening at the campsite Neil and Chef heard word of a possible Golden Egg in the Chicken Run.  Grin Grin. Actually they helped the campsite owner out looking for a electric cable. Nice one guys

What fantastic finds - from a gold stater through to milled silver plus artefacts.  I find it fascinating to see how an area has seen human habitation for at least around two thousand years.

Well done to everyone who went - a great selection of coins and artefacts.

Neil, Peter ID,d the Medieval Wotsit as a coin weight. I think he said 14th or 15th century and possibly Spanish.
