Hi Dale
I dont know anyone personally that use,s S cope,s but there load of online informaion and reviews on the CS5MX.

My advice would be to find a used one then if you dont get on with it youll get your money back.
The cheapest ive seen them new is £305 free post on Ebay.

Good luck on your search

Regards
Phil

Hi,

I use a CScope1220xd. I think these machines are similar in setup and hardwear.

i find the depth on mine is good, and once you get used to the tones, it can be a very good seeker and pinpoints really well.

My only grumble is that it is impossible to discriminate out hot rocks (coke) and large iron lumps. You tend to dig a lot of iron out in the search for that really good signal for a coin or brooch.

Otherwise a good all round machine, but you need to practice with the tones to get good results.

Get to know your local scrap dealer, you could make a fortune.

Hi Eric

Many top end Single frequency machine have a problem with Coke and Large iron.
Ive got an F75 and the audio is the only way to find out what you got
coke and iron even fool the digital read out.

Hey phil,

Have you noticed you cant put words like scrap on here. I thought I was going mad and whenever I wanted to mention the rag and bone man who comes round, the site software turns him into a srubbish collector.

Had me laughing when I realized what was happening to my posts

Just buy a T2, it will save you having to sell it after a couple of weeks.

Lol Eric !

Its a forum application that stops swear words being typed but it also stops some words that sounds like swear words.

We used to have loads of fun in the Chatroom finding out what words it wouldnt let you type lol
