Be sure to Belt up on the way to the ralley mind,  the police in this part of the country are not very polite on people who don't wear seatbelts,

Wow amazing footage Alan

If id just been run over by him and he was complaining of a medical condition i would have took his keys of him to stop him either killing himself or others or i would have stopped  him a lot quicker then 17 minutes.
I wouldn't have been happy if they'd let him get away, had another stoke then killed a member of my family.
I dont believe for a second he thought the police had finished with him and they was escorting him. Someone that Dim shouldn't be on the Road anyway.
Looks like the court didn't believing him either judging by his Fine.
It would have been nice if he,d grown a pair and just took his Fine like a man, instead of now wasting tax payers money on more court fees and the police enquiry.
The Police officers should have handled this a lot better, but they got the Job done, they didnt know he wasn't going to speed off again and maybe kill or mame some innocent member of the public

God i wish I was running this Country lol

well to me Phil there didn't seem to be an appropiate place for him to stop anyhow without  blocking up the lane, or driveway
how do they know if he's not exempt from wearing a belt cos of his ilness ect,
far too heavey handed anyhow to my mind, another case legalised thugs and bullies again, or them in uniform hey,

he was proberbly ok with his medical condition cos of the tablets he'd be on controling it,  but that over the top , heavey handed dramatic   behaviour  could cause him to have another stroke Phil, no need for it, Authority gone to their heads again,

I agree it was heavy handed of the police but he must have been in a confused state to think the police had let him go given him an escort home.
He only stopped when he seen the police car deploy the stinger, god knows what damage he could have caused if he,d continued
They should have took the keys off him when he run over into a policeman maybe if he,d hung around long enough they would have breathalysed him.
Hes used his medical condition for his defend when the Highway code clearly states if you feel unwell while driving you must stop.
I wonder what the people would have said if they'd let him go and he killed someone ?
I think if the police thought he was in anyway incapable they should have stopped him earlier by what ever means before he hurt someone.
Hes just making excuses now for his behavior just to get a big fat payout from the police.
Money that we,ve all paid in Taxes at one time or another
I think he should Use the money he,ll get to get a copy of the Highway code lol
I dont think his age should be an issue you wouldnt let a teenage get away with running into a policeman then go on a low speed police chase for 17 minutes.
Ive just read the paper with this in and it seems very one sided.
It will be interesting what the police have to say.
I dont understand why it took him so long to get out of the car,If 3 police men was Running at me and my car with battons drawn id be out and on the floor ASAP.

In all fairness to the Guy, is maximum speed in the footage was 42, its a 60 mph zone Huh

He was foolish to think that the police were escorting him home, but the police were far too heavy handed and should be dragged to the cleaners for this.

It seems the police love motorists as they are easy pickings.

I think it must be a generation thing Alan.
There,s not many old school policemen left
I know how badly the police can behave, but they are only reacting to the type of people they have to deal
Id love for anyone who slag the police off to live im my street for a week.it seems most of the forum are lucky enough to live in nice areas
Im very pro police to my mind they are the best in the world and they are all we got,its not a job id like to do dealing with the dregs of the earth on a daily basis
We have a claims culture at the moment and this persons just looking for a Payout
Help the Heros i say !
If hed just stopped and helped the police with there enqirys, there wouldnt have been a problem!

Im glad we got policemen that wont shy away from conflict
its time the people had respect for the police and follow the laws of this country.
