The Koss ur30 are supplied as standard with Minelab machines and the sound is the best you can get. The only down sides are the cable length, they are not the best fit (ie they fall off easily) and no volume control. I butchered the pair i had and used the speakers in a pair of ear defenders and added 2 volume controls. I would like to try the Koss QZ99 as they look good.

Just to be paranoid for a moment, the UR30's are not listed by Koss (could be a special for minelab) but they do list a UR20 which look the same and have the same spec except they have a 3.5mm jack instead of the 6.4mm. Now for the paranoid bit they retail at only £13.99.

The specs on the Ur30 are better tan the Ur20. Impedance, sensitivity and better frequency response. Apparently the cable length on both is 8 feet.
