If I was a rich man

« on: July 31, 2010, 10:13:01 AM »

My lad is coming up to his 7th birthday and he is showing interest in what i do. He came with me to get some land yesterday and is looking forward to going back and detect. What machine do you recommend for a 7 year old. I need something light. Do you think the garrett 150 will be to much for him to handle. You thoughts would be a great help.

Hi Ade,s

Have a look at the Lazer, tesoro and fisher Range,
The lower end of there models are very easy to use, very light and you can sometimes pick them up very cheaply pre used.
Also have a look at the bounty Hunter Range they are lots of fun for the pound
all the above have got metal shafts so can be altered to fit

All the best
Phil

I think the 150 would be perfect as is basically a beep and dig machine and I'm sure he will get to learn the other couple of controls quickly enough.
