i remember that stunninb broach and seeing it after it had been out the ground for a hour,also remember the police roping off thearea and shed load of detectrists running up to the find spot Undecided

I didnt see you there ??  Tongue lol
The police where there within a few minutes, everyone wanted to see but it was ropped off.
I havnt seen the Walsh,s WW report till last night.
I stayed in the area to detect hoping to find something but it wasnt to be.
I found a Roman snake braclet and a victorian gold watch tbar so i was happy

i also started detecting in same field as the broach but all i found was bullet cases Grin

I saw the four wheel drive's speeding past me to the find spot, so I new something good had been found. I was the tenth to fifteenth person to see the broach in the finds box and part of the jaw bone on the edge of the hole. It made my weekend seeing that great find.There were other good finds that  weekend, and they were a Roman bronze serpant ring, a gold Celtic coin and a lovely Roman broach. Smiley Smiley

The 1st time i seen the brooch was back at the FLO Table and then i had to fight my way to the front to see it.
absulutly amazing !

RARE are going to the West hanney rally in September
it,ll be all freshly ploughed so i can imagine everyone and theyre brother will be heading for the that spot including me  lol
