do you know what! a commenter on that page , dr. mike, said exactly the same thing I was thinking!! that sounds a bit fishy to me!! you find a hoard of gold in a well ploughed field then a couple of months later more treasure trove?? hmmmm.....dont know about that one!! Undecided perhaps im a bit to sceptical for my own good Cheesy

Visit Detecting Scotland and you can chat to davie in person.He's one of the moderators on the site.As for Dr Mikes comments,they border on slander.It is'nt a Doctorate in Archaeology he's got.Or he would know they done a excavation of the site and discovered,the Torcs were situated on the inside of a round house type structure.Post holes,cooking pits and other finds.The matrix came from an area steeped in history.He's also found quite a few hammerds and other medieval finds.A more honest guy,you couldn't meet.If you have the right land and the luck that goes with detecting,it's a bit of a bummer,when people doubt your integrity.
