HI everyone, I've got a a whites prizm 4 asnd was wondering if someone can give me advice regarding batteries. It takes 2x 9 volt pp3's (the square ones) and was looking to get rechargables for it. The only problem is that because the detector is high drain, i dont know if rechargables are suitable.Does anyone know before i go out and spend my hard earned cash.
thanks

Hi Rob

You can get all sorts of 9v outputs you need something like 2200 Milliamp-hour battery they cost around £10.00 a pair but well worth it in the long run
I bought a load of high power rechargables from aldi,s of all places
£2,99 for a pair for 9v AAA and AA 1,5v
Ive used them in all sorts
with batterys size (MAh) is everything ;0)

I know Fisher F75,s run for about 30 hours on a set of new AA,s but im getting around 40 out of my rechargeables
Only problem is when they start wearing out they die very quickly so ive always got a  spare set with me
I should imagine if you bought a less powerfull 9v it would last you a days detecting

I think the phrase is Suck it and see ;0)

all the best
