Thought some of you may be interested in a recent purchase of mine. I bought five pieces by Fred May the other day who worked for Tatler magazine until his death in 1976. During the First World War he served as an officer in the trenches until 1917 and became a famous characteurist with several pieces in the National Gallery..

The original drawing are large A3 + proof sheets for use in Tatler and contain all the foot notes made by Fred regarding sizeing etc. They date from 1937 through to 1940 and include characteurs of the officers of a Commando Unit, Royal Artillary unit, a Welsh Regiment and an officers mess. Just need to get them framed up now.

Cheers

Just got them back from the framers Kev and they have done a fantastic job. I'll add the photos tomorrow once they are hung - really pleased with them.
