In between the showers of hail, rain, and at the very end sleet, some of us had some very nice finds on today's rally. I know a lot of people left at lunchtime because of the weather, but those who persevered did well (unfortunately not me).

Some of the finds I saw or heard about were a Victoria half-sovereign, a silvered (or was it silver) Roman brooch (John Pugh), another nice bow brooch with pin (Steven King), a large dolphin-type brooch (John Stewart) and several Roman bronzes of various sizes (Kevan, Stan and Terry). I only saw one hammered which I think was Edward III or IV, found by Jonathan (or was it Mark?).

We should be having another rally there soon on the fields we haven't done yet. Keep an eye out for details on here.

Here are some photos - I had intended to get more but the weather got in the way.
