I am off to Dawlish Warren for a few days tomorrow and as usual I am packing the detector. Roll Eyes

Has anyone ever detected here before? Any tips?

Cheers

Try to detect in the small stones about halfway down the beach, dont bother going all the way along the beach after the forth groyne you will get very little.Don't forget to detect the paths from the beach that go behind the shopping area there will be a good mix of modern and some of the older stuff,

Thanks for that Dave - I've not been there since I was a kid and the sands of time have washed away my memory of the beach.

I have a friend joining me for a spot of beach detecting. Heres a photo of the last time we went detecting together on holiday. Hopefully she'll bring me some luck this time!

cheers

I do like the idea of the giant control box strapped to the palm tree in the background. Now why didn't XP think of that option!
