A superb trio Paul - any one of those would have made my day Smiley

The Henry VIII is a particularly nice coin. It's a 3rd coinage groat, Tower mint, 2nd bust, Spink 2369.

Edward IV is a light coinage groat, London mint, mintmark crown (struck 1468-69), Spink 2000

James I is 2nd coinage, 4th bust sixpence dated 1608, mintmark crown, Spink 2658.

The full weight of a light coinage groat is 48 grains (3.1 grams). Heavy coinage full weight is 60 grains (3.9 grams). Bit harder to tell if very clipped or worn.

cheers for all your comments ,,did find a lizzie fourpence 1579 last week some how it pales into the shadows of these three, going back to same field where these coins came up later this week, have only done a very small part of a very big field so far, so the signs are good and hopefully will have more cracking coins to show you later this week.

Lol, but hey, the sun's still shining up here. How come you're not back out on the field?

Well done once again pal, and all the best for your next visit(s) to the field. Can't wait to see the pics...
