Hi dusty, I have one, i use the Garret 99% of the time, the sunray the remaining 1%, but its been great on that 1% when yoi need to wincle something out from the iron as it uses the detectors discrimination circuits, its also handy on the beach when the Garret falses, there is a knack to using them though. I'm tempted to sell it as i use it infrequently, but i think, well, it don't eat or drink anything, and it makes coil changes much quicker.
in a word though, get the garret propointer Wink

Hey Karl, cheers for that.

Decided to cancel the Garrett order, the stockist I felt was dickin me about having paid on Sunday for it and still nothing in the post  Angry

Spotted a Sun-ray on eBay and bought that instead, only a fiver more than the Garrett  Grin I have been reading that it does 2-3 depth which is plenty nuff for me at the mo, did think about the killer shotgun probe but an extra 5" digging and £130 HA, me no think so!  Wink

Hi Dusty
I'm afraid there are a lot of shops out of stock of the garret at the moment, even Regton who are the importers are awaiting delivery. 2 weeks and it should all be sorted.

Ah right, I see. If they had told me I might well have let it run... oh well....

sounds like you had a bargain with that sunray probe dusty, don't get me wrong, they are excellent, except your lucky to get one sub £140 second hand as a rule.
Dont forget, they are a motion sensor so need to be wiggled when used in detect mode i.e. using the scrim circuit, in pinpoint (all metal) they work a bit different on my E-trac to how it would work explorer so i cant comment, probably works better on an explorer as thats what it was meant for.
Good luck
