This Viking Fire Steel was found by a mate. There is remains of iron plate and shows beasts on either side.

Another cracking viking relic SV, the nearest I've come to anything viking is the Yorick centre in York. Cheesy

That is just a lovely piece of metalwork, how would it have been used as a fire steel? Thanks for posting it , got any more?

Hedgehog the iron plate that comes of bottom would been struck against flint to give a spark. It also has a suspension
loop. I have more pictures.
