Most single frequency detectors are fine at the top of the beach, but struggle on wet sand.

Hi Mike
Standard double d coil runs at 7.5Khz the machine does not run at different frequencies it is the coil that runs at different frequencies because of the new VFLEX technology in simple terms change the coil change the frequency ihave the double d coil 7.5Khz and it works fine all the way to the shallow water as long as you dont go deeper than the control box next time we are at the beach if you come you can have a go at mine if you want
are you going to the dw rally on sunday?

Hi Mike

If its any use to you
Ive got the Norfolk Wolfs Advanced Detecting book and for 8-15khz it reads.....

"although not the best performer certain models will get by on Damp sand by careful use of sens and disc"

The Fisher F75 runs at 13 khz and the 1st time i used it on wet sand i was very disapointed but after some advice off Saxonman and JEB   Ive got it a stable as a rock and working at some good depths

all the best
Phil
