Hi all sandpiper and i went out for a couple in the local wood the weather was really great. There were lots of 12g cartridge ends so we decided to hit the fields, sandpiper uncovered a four ended fob seal i think and i found an 1775 sliver carolus lll more info would be great doc if you r reading this. Can anyone tell me if the buckle in the pic is a shoe buckle or a book clasp. Smiley

Love the seal matrix! Nice to see some milled silver too! Always turn up something interesting in woodland if you've got the patience to dig all them cartridge ends!

Its a Spanish Charles iii  4 Reales Silver.  The mint mark is the monogram on the left hand side middle  of the reverse of the coin. Looks like iR  cant make it out though.
