Hi guys out again in the same fields that i found  the spanish coin the other day,  My sons and i were armed to the teeth with detectors, shovels, headphones and our find bags Roll Eyes. throughout the day finds were buttons, buckels, lead and lots of cartridge ends but only two coins were found, one is george lll shilling which is  forgery Sad and the second is a nice silver hammie, i don,t know what it is but i can see the crown more to the left side and the person looking more likely to the right i might be wrong! Huh If anyone know what coin it is or doc can help me.Here,s the pics of my boys holding the mystery hammer Wink

Hi Falcon, at a glance the monarch looks like Edward VI (1547-53)   A scarce coin for a detector find if it is but no doubt the Doc can give a more accurate id.  Well done all the same  Smiley

well done boys,  Smiley Great to see some younger members taking an interest and getting some fresh air, instead of stuck on an X box or similar.
And more importantly, saving a bit of history whilst their at it. Good on you lads, very nice finds too

Brilliant finds boys sounds like a great day out.Better than watching the Welsh rugby team!!!
Theres lots in those fields and  all undetected before - I'm confident theres something special going to come up. We've already had a medievil quadruple seal, milled silver ,a hammered coin and lots of unusual  artifacts. Watch this space Wink Wink can't wait to hit the fields again Well done lads  Grin Grin a great and memorable day out. Cheesy
