Worst thing I've found is the business end of a syringe! Luckily I noticed it sooner rather than later so it didn't do me any harm. Probably been used to vacinate an animal but you can never be too sure.

i once found a 1 metre long spirit level, that had been hidden under recently cut straw, waiting to be baled.   Close by was a burnt out car.

My Neighbour was having trouble with her drains out her back,  she had a huge patio and when she had it built they paved over the drain cover,  she knew that i go detecting, so I was asked to locate the drain,   I found it after about 5 minutes,  she was very happy, otherwise the whole patio would have to be ripped up until they found it,,  no reward though.

My Dectecting Buddy Derek Jones who died last year once found a Box with the earthly chard remains of an ex Miner( According to the brass plate on the box) while detecting with his Spaniel above the old mining town of Abercynon.

Derek respecfully placed the box back in the hole said a few words and covered the box back up .
But every time he went to the area again he,d find the box of the surface   Shocked  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
After re planting this Poor unfortunate ex Miner 5/6 times he found out that every time he,d let his Spaniel out he,d  dig him up again  lol

I think the moral is If your planting someones ashes make sure its deep enough not to be found with a detector
or use a plastic Box  Tongue lol
