Went out today for a few hours and good thing i did!  Smiley first signal i had was a George III half guinea spade type 1795!!! was chuffed with that Grin didn't find much then for the rest of the day. my dad had a george V 1928 half crown, then on the way back to the car i come across a Edward I (??) penny canterbury mint. my first 2 decent finds of the year!

 Cheesy neil, we may have wandered slightly outside our border but i wasnt paying attention haha Grin it was found in pasture & it was a slope with lots of deep rock so the farmer only ploughs the one half! the half guinea was on the slope & the hammie was where its been previously ploughed as you can tell it has battle marks. yes it will be at the next meeting! & also could you bring your copy of treasure hunter so i could see the detecting wales bit! if its in there this month? cheers
