I am afraid it is also a case of what has been mentioned elsewhere. We will pay through the nose for these goods if they are the best goods available, regardless of manufacturer. All companies need a profit margin and in what is basically a very small market, high prices need to be charged to maintain a supply. Correct me if I am wrong but for the whole of the UK I think there are not many more than 10 - 15 specialist shops which per head of population is not many. Imagine how many would survive if we all said for 12 months no one buy any new detectors, accessories or metal detecting related materials of any kind. I bet we would be lucky to see two.
