Hi all , another find from today,  looks like some sort of ring, but has an attached side piece with rivets in it  Huh, any ideas anyone  Huh

Not sure mate but I think it may be a rein guide ( horse ) period again not sure but could be medieval. I am sure the Doc will tell us.

Looks like it was attached to leather at some time, I would go with Waltonbasinman on this one as a possible guide for some sort of horse gear.

I'm sure it's a sash window lift.You get two at the bottom of the window,put your finger in and lift and up she comes Smiley

ive seen one of these before, someone in the scan club found one a while back but not 100% sure but i think its part of a candle holder, the rivets would have held a sheet metal dish, and you put your finger through the ring part to hold it  Wink but i could be wrong lol

I think Steppyjock is on the money - my neighbour has something very similar on his sash windows you lift it up to open and lift the window. Then push the window down and fold the mechanism towards yourself to lock. His house is two doors from mine and they date to about 1870's - unfortunately my sash windows were ripped out by a previous owner.
