Out yesterday for a couple of hours, found my first Vicky Shilling and Sixpence, a couple of bag seals, a nice buckle, a large pendant ( white metal ?, showing signs of silver plate ) , and a nice piece of decorated silver sheet ( no hall marks though  Undecided ), etc.

Checking Spinks 2009 coin book last night, i noticed that the Shilling which is dated 1865, should be normal die axis, but for some reason , my find has reverse die axis  Huh , could anyone shed some light why this coin should be different from Spinks.

Also could anyone tell me what type of buckle i found, and possible date please Huh

Thanks all

Nice finds, bud. The buckle looks similar to one I found. I was told it was either a shoe or dress buckle, 1720 - 1790.
