Had a disappointing day's detecting on sunday with nothing of interest to show for hours stomping round a sticky clay field and started to wonder why I was doing it.
So now I'm just gonna stick some pics of old finds on here now to remind me why I go out and to show people they shouldn't get too disheartened after digging up nothing but shotgun caps and tin foil! The goodies do come!

Thought the buckle was silver myself but apparently its good quality pewter!
Anyway,heres a few more pics of my finds if anyone wants to have a look.
Hawking bell-unsure of age on this one but can still see file marks on it! Sorry the photo's a bit blurred.

Some cracking finds there Benny - the semi circle strap end I have seen elsewhere - I'll try and scan uou an image for comparison.
